It is with great sadness that the family of Gary Lynn Sanderson announces his passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, June 1st at the age of 75. Gary was born July 4th, 1945 in Ogden Utah to Ben and Mae Sanderson. At a very early age the family moved to Billings where Gary attended school. He joined the US Army in 1964 and fought for his country during the Vietnam War. Thank you so much for your service.
He married Jo Ann West in 1975 in Billings, MT.
Gary worked for over 30 years as head of maintenance at Rimview Inn. In his younger years, Gary enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends.
Gary was a kind and gentle soul, always opening his home to those in need.
Gary will be lovingly remembered by his son, Brian (Amanda) Sanderson of Helena, MT, his daughter by choice, Dusti Bard of Miles City, his brothers , Ben (Mi) Sanderson Jr., Nokomis, FL; Terry (Deana) Sanderson, Polson, MT; five sisters, Sandra Morse, Billings, MT, Carole Love, Boston, GA, Gayle (Jim) Barbour, Billings, MT, Karen (Mike) Monroe, Billings, MT, Dede (Allan) Nielsen, Salem, SC. Gary will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Justin, Keely, Rayna, Willow, Kenneth, Gabriel, Chastity, Lilly Ann, Bryson,; step-grandchildren, Timothy, Donald; great-grandchildren, Azaleah, Sebastian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary was predeceased by his mother, father, and ex-wife, Jo Ann.
Cremation has taken place. Inurnment with a graveside military service will be held at a later date in the Yellowstone National Veteran's Cemetery, Laurel, MT.
