Obituary

On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Nanette “Nan” (Goddard-Schuster) Ehrmantraut, wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away at the age of 77 years.
Nan was born in Billings, Montana to Harlon (deceased) and Naomi (deceased) Goddard. She graduated from Billings West High School in 1962, in the first graduating class at West High. In 1963, she married Richard Schuster (deceased) and had two children, Lee Schuster (Dawn) and Mike Schuster (Tracey).
They purchased a home in the mid 70’s and raised their children. Some of her hobbies during this time included gardening, flowering, and sewing. Through the 80’s she worked for Selover Buick as a receptionist, billing and payroll. She continued to work throughout the transition when it became Underriner Motors. In 1998 she married Ken Ehrmantraut (deceased). They loved going to the cabin, cruises, camping and spending time with their extended families. They both left Underriner Motors and purchased and operated their own KOA Campground in Hot Springs, SD. After several years they sold it and traveled around the country for a while before returning to Billings. She then returned to work at Underriner and retired upon them opening a new facility. They then purchased a cabin and had many family gatherings there while they also continued their travels. We wish her many more new adventures with friends and family.
She will be forever remembered by her family, including sisters Sue Carter (Marvin), Robin West (David), and Claudia Morgan (Bob). Stepchildren: Tracy Hasler (Chad), Paula Ehrmantraut and Trevor Ehrmantraut (Nicole). Newphews and nieces: Darryn Morgan (Holly), Todd Morgan (Heidi), Sarah Ferestadt (Terry), Jake West (Stacy), Alisa West (Tim), Greg Carter (deceased), and Julie Markovich (Steve). As well as all her grandchildren, Gage, Avalon, Gavin, Logan, Kortni, Kayla, Kendra, Jayden, Zach, Andrea Niles (Alex) and Adam.
We would like to give a special thank you to Tracy and Chad Hasler for all the things they have done for Nanette. And thanks to the staff at St. John’s for the comfort and care they provided.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 2pm at Smith West Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared with the family at smithfuneralchapels.com.

Sending thoughts and love to Nan's family. We were friends when she lived on Marshall Drive and kept up our friendship over the years. I have many sweet memories of Nan. Sorry I was unable to attend her funeral.

Dear Susan...

Carolyn and I are so sad to hear of Nanette's passing...We remember the Goddard girls from Garden Avenue...we were neighbors of theirs...Nanette and Carolyn were the same age and attended West High as the first graduating seniors in 1962...Naomi and my mom often helped each other with gardening tips and canning...You are all in our thoughts and prayers...Betty Rossell Leppart

I was given the privilege of working with Nan all her years at Selover Buick and UNDERRINER Motors. She and the others ladies we worked with always had great get togethers as fellow coworkers annoying time away from the workplace.

God has called her home. She will be greeted by all who proceeded her with smiles and love.
