Ruth L. Gaustad passed away March 19, 2021 at Beartooth Manor in Columbus, Montana. Ruth was born February 28, 1933, south of Columbus, to parents Ingol F. & Fannie Nordmark. She met Dad at a dance in Reed Point, Montana. They married May 4, 1952. Dad was hurt on a tach 6 miles south of Columbus, August of 1961, which put him a coma for almost 22 years. Mom met many challenges: raising 2 boys, had epilepsy, overcame breast cancer, lost her mother at a young age and was struck bu lightening twice.
Preceding Ruth in death are her parents; husband, Clayton; siblings, Gilbert Nordmark of Alaska, Bertine Tisland of Alaska; Ed Anderson of Columbus, MT; Clara Schelino of Butte, MT and grandsons, Jake & Mark. Ruth is survived by sons Larry (Deanne) of Absarokee and Terry (Cyndi) of Columbus; grandchildren, Cassandra, Monica, Matt, Zach and Danielle and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Beartooth Manor for the excellent care Mom received these last 13 years.
