Linda L. Ericson, age 82, of Billings, passed away on February 12, 2021. Born in Poplar, MT on November 5, 1938 to Eric and Elna Lindquist, she was the eldest of three siblings. The family farmed thirty-two miles North of Poplar (Mineral Bench) where she received her early education, transferring later to Poplar Public schools. She graduated high school as class salutatorian in 1957 and went on to nursing school in Kansas City, MO., graduating in 1960. She started furthering her education when she met up with a family friend, Harold Ericson, who she married in 1961. They later divorced.To this union three children were born: Valorie (Doug) Smith of Deer Lodge, Margo Ericson of Clarkston, WA; and son, Eric, who died in 2011. She had two grandchildren –Courtni Hart of Deer Lodge and Adrian Ericson of Rising Star, TX.She worked as a hospital RN for nearly 30 years, with the last 14 years of her career as a nurse at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch.In retirement she was active in support groups including Alanon, Suicide Survivors, Senior Citizens and Peace Lutheran Church.Survivors besides her immediate family also include three great grandchildren; sister, Jean Martin of Great Falls; three nieces, two of which were her God-children Stacy and Susan, and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Eric, brother James Lindquist; and Aunts, Uncles, and a few cousins. Cremation has taken place at Smith West Chapel. A service will be held at a later date.Thank you to everyone God put in her life’s journey. You were there for a reason and may God Bless you all!!
