Obituary

On February 12, 2021 Tuffi Lacey, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, made her final journey to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Tuffi was born on October 3rd, 1947 in Laurel, MT to Elizabeth (Krug) McLaughlin and Clarence McLaughlin. She married Robert Lacey on December 17th 1967. They raised three children together, Jeremy, Shawn and Lisa.

Tuffi was loved by everyone she met. She was kind, caring and always full of life. She could light up any room with her infectious smile or her quick wit. She lived to help others and enjoyed volunteering. She was very involved with her church and many other groups in her community. We all know she was never able to pass up a bargain at a garage sale, and she never seemed to leave without a candle or a new friend. Tuffi was well known for her kind and compassionate spirit.

Tuffi was preceded in death by her father Clarence, her mother Elizabeth, and her sister Lonita. She is survived by her husband Robert, her three children, Jeremy, Shawn (Margie), Lisa (Rodney), her sister Marlisse, her brother John, her grandchildren, Skyler (Alli), Emily, Marcus, Jordan, Bronté and Brittany, her great grandchildren, Harleigh, Lukas, Owen and Kingston as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 17th at Rockvale Cemetery, 4046 US Hwy 310, Joliet, MT at 10:00 am followed by memorial services at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 417 W 9th St. in Laurel, MT at 11 am. A luncheon will be held following the memorial service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church in Laurel or Compassus Hospice.

I grew up knowing the Lacey family and in one way or another spent time around the family, from when I was young and my brother ran around with Shawn (on occasion causing trouble :), I believe one or two stories had to do with a white Chevette) to raising my own family and my daughter and Emily were in school together. Losing a loved one is always very difficult and no words will fill the hole that has been left in your hearts. I can only tell you from experience that you will find a way to get through it. With the many lives that Tuffi touched over the years, there are many prayers for you all.
Thoughts, prayers, and God speed,
SallyAnn (Ludwig) Jones

Stayed at their house many times growing up. She was a very unique and fun-loving person. We will remember you always. Prayers to Bob and the kids!
