Marylou is preceded in death by her husband Jerry (Jerome) Berman; grandson Kenneth Williams and daughter-in-law, Kristy Righmeir. She is survived by her son, Ed Berman of Park City and daughter Ellyn (Don) Williams of Laurel. Marylou is also survived by 5 of her 6 grandchildren: Jeremiah Berman and Crystal Berman of Portland, Oregon and Katherine Williams, Shannon Williams, and Steven (Ashley) Williams, all of Laurel and her 11 great-grandchildren.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she attended nursing school at the University of Pennsylvania where she met our Dad, Jerry. They were married December 25, 1949 and were married for 56 years until Dad passed in 2005. They traveled from Pennsylvania to California, to Alaska, back to California, to Germany and all over Europe. Once their European trip concluded, they went back to California, Oregon and finally here in Montana. Marylou also lived in Colorado for a short stint. Aside from traveling the world, Marylou and Jerry loved to dance, especially the jitterbug. Once they hit the dance floor, everyone cleared out to watch them, as their love for life and each other was so mesmerizing.
Marylou owned a candy shop ~ handcrafted gourmet chocolates. They closed Little Dipper Chocolates in Beaverton, Oregon when they moved to Laurel and started Beartooth Confections, which closed in 2006. She made the best handcrafted gourmet chocolates around. She was the sweetest person, always smiling and laughing, living life. She loved to entertain and her and Dad would open their home to so many people throughout the years. Marylou was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mom – RIP – you will be missed in death as much as you were cherished in life.
