On December 27,2020 Clara (Miller) Lackman passed on to a better world. She was born on July 4th, 1921 to David and Eva Katharine Miller in Hesper, west of Billings. Clara went to Elder Grove School through the 8th grade. She grew up on the family farm west of Billings working along side her brothers and father. She married Henry Lackman Jr. on November 24th, 1940 and together they worked on the family farm. Out of this union they had five children, Janice, William H., Gerald, Carolyn, and Joyce.

For about 10 years Clara worked outside the home at the Rolling Pin Bakery and in the kitchen at Senior High school. Clara loved bowling, camping, fishing, and crocheting, and taught herself to play multiple musical instruments. Clara was confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
In her later years Clara enjoyed telling stories of her youth and talking about the good ole days. Clara cherished her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Clara loved animals including the many stray farm cats and the little bunnies roaming the farm.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, siblings David, Lydia, Alexander (Saunder), Amelia, Victor, her husband Henry Lackman Jr. and her daughter Janice and son in law August Kyriss. She is survived by children William (Betty), Gerald, Carolyn and Joyce and her grandchildren, Leslie and Michelle Kyriss, Cori Lackman, Carrie Flores, Melinda Jones, Dustin Ecker and Amanda Lackman as n well as numerous great and great great grandchildren.
The family also wishes to thank Cindy and her staff at Western Empire Emporium. Over the years they have become a “second family” to Mom. She enjoyed spending time there playing games. Mom may not have remembered you towards the end but had very fond memories of you. The family would also like to thank Compassus Hospice and their kind and caring staff.
