Gladys “Toots” Henry slipped into heaven on October 2, 2020. She was born in Billings, MT on July 3, 1938 to George and Margaret Henry. She grew up in the Laurel area and graduated from Laurel Senior High School with the class of 1956.

Toots was an extremely dedicated employee at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch Foundation. She was employed there well over 40 years, and Franklin Robbie considered her his “right hand gal”.
Toots enjoyed all aspects of sports and was a proud supporter of the Laurel Locomotives. In her younger years, she never missed a game.
Toots was a great baker, and her cinnamon twists, caramel rolls and cabbage rolls were the talk of the town. She and her sister Iline kept the community well stocked with homemade noodles.
Toots was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers George Henry and Richard Henry, sisters Esther Morton and Hannah Kautz, and nephews Kenneth Henry and Michael Henry. She is survived by brother Ted Henry and sisters Iline Rehling and Marion Templin. Toots never had children, so her nieces and nephews became her surrogate children. They are: Kim Piper, Nickie Vanderloos, Penny Hudson; Donna Patterson, Karen Chilcoat, Larry Templin, Scott Templin; Dianna Nichols, Tammy Sanchez; Kevin Henry, Vonda Henry; Cathie Kautz, Dan Kautz, David Kautz, Doug Kautz; Cindy Ripley, Ron Henry, Sheryl Graham; and Tim Morton. She also leaves behind numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday October 10, at 1:00PM. The service will be at Laurel United Methodist Church; 307 W. 4th St., Laurel. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, no reception will be held.
