Alexander Kraft, 96, of Billings, Montana, died at his home on September 12, 2020. He

was born on November 21st, 1923 in Canada to Jacob and Marie Kraft. He was the oldest of
three siblings. He enlisted in the army in 1943 and was stationed in the Philippines during WWII.
He married Pearl Gullion in 1952. From this union came two children, Kenny and Karen.
Alex spent his working years traveling throughout Montana, North Dakota, and
Wyoming for Peter Kiewit as a master mechanic and superintendent. As anyone would tell you,
he could fix anything. After retiring, Alex came to enjoy gardening. His garden was always the
envy of the neighborhood and everyone received bags of fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, even if
they didn’t want them. When he wasn’t gardening, Alex also enjoyed watching Hockey and
Alex is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pearl, his brothers Manuel and Jake,
and his sister Betty. He leaves behind his son Kenny (Lori) Kraft of Billings, and his daughter
Karen (Mark) Lehman of Billings; grandson Keith Kraft of Billings; granddaughters Angie
(Shaun) Dotson and Danielle Lehman, both of Billings; great-grandchildren Brynne, Pierce, and
Harper Dotson, all of Billings. We all love and adore our Dad, Papa, and Great-Papa. He will be
missed by us all so much.

Visitation will be Wed., Sept. 16 from 1-5 PM at Smith Funeral Chapel Downtown, 925 S. 27th Street. Graveside services will be held on Thurs., Sept. 17 at 11AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors.
