As her sister-in-law I will remember her welcoming home and the wealth of information she shared. She shared expertise on everything from gardening to family history. She was a true artist using a variety of modalities to create personal gifts. I will miss her tales of a life lived to it's fullest. Frani Morris

It is hard to say goodbye to my older sister. She took care of us when we were very young. In Sheridan Mom would let me go to the movies with her, we both loved spooky movies. I am sure I was suppose be keeping boys away from her but candy and popcorn was first on my list. She was a great artist, good cook, and lots of laughs as she told the stories of the past. I know the kids at Evergreen who called her Grandma Dee will tell tales of her for a long time. I am sure she is with Norma and Grandpa and Grandma Wolf. I will miss her so very much.

Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. We did not know Mrs. Gottwig personally, but clearly she was a wonderful person with a zest for life and the arts. She will be dearly missed. We pray that your family finds comfort in knowing that she will not be forgotten and soon the pain of death will be undone.- Hebrews 6:10, Revelation 21:3,4

I loved Dee. She was a mother to all of us who worked at Aileens in the 1970’s. Her advice, comfort, laughter and love brought us all closer. Later, when she was the “sample lady” at Evergreen IGA we would visit and laugh as if no time had passed. She made everyone feel special and welcome. I’ll miss you Dee.
