Kathryn Clara Gerhardt-Barth, 87, passed

into Eternal Life on Sept 20,2019. Kathryn was born on January 28, 1932 in Flasher, ND. She was
the second of seven children born to Jacob and Elizabeth (Kautzman) Gerhardt. She and Benno Barth
were united in marriage on September 30, 1952 in St. Anthony,
ND. They were blessed with 5 children. During their early years, they moved several times in ND,
WY, and finally settled in Billings, MT in 1968. Kathryn and Benno owned Softie's on 24th
and Broadwater for many years. Kathryn was very proud of the fact that she worked at Sears for 26
years. She enjoyed Pinochle, sewing and made many quilts for all of her family. She was a member
of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church where she served as
a greeter, attended to the devotional candles and Holy Water, and was a member of the Catholic
Daughters of America.
Mom will be deeply missed by her children
Mark (Dannette), Chuck (Debbie), Georgine (Mike) Hoffman and JoNell Barth-Robinson.
Grandchildren Michelle (Andy) Dailing, Michael (Jennifer) Barth, Bryan (Kassidy) Barth, Kevin
Barth, Jamie and Josh Hoffman, and Brooke (Eric) Osgood Great grandchildren
Ruby and Lola Dailing and Monico and Audrina Osgood. Sisters, Marge (Robert) Knoll, Dolores
(Albert) Messer and Darlene (Dennis) Haider; brothers, Eugene (Esther) and Edwin (Pat); and
numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
husband Benno, youngest son Bryce and sister Burnetta.
The family would like to thank the staff
at West Park Village Senior Living, especially the Pearl Garden where she was loved and well taken
care of. Any memorials received will be made to the West Park Village Employee Fund and can be
mailed to Mark Barth at 3956 Palisades Park Dr., Billings, MT
Cremation has taken place and funeral services
will be held on Oct 5th @ 11a.m. at Smith's West Funeral Chapel. Father Steve Zabrocki of St.
Thomas will perform the funeral liturgy. A reception will follow.
