Lonnie Richard Harmon was born in Great Falls, MT on September 12, 1935, the oldest of four boys. He moved to Billings when he was 14 and later graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1954. He spent eight years in the Naval Reserve and attended his first year of college at Eastern Montana College, now MSU Billings, then transferred to Missoula to attend the University of Montana but decided after two years that he was tired of going to school so he returned to Billings to work at Conoco Oil Company where he was employed thru August 1995, retiring as a controller in the Condensate Unit. Lonnie resided at Canyon Creek Memory Care in Billings from July 5, 2018 thru April 23, 2019 when he expired due to pneumonia.

Lonnie married Marilyn Theresa Froehlich in Missoula MT on September 5, 1964 and they built their home in the Billings Heights the following year. They raised three sons and one daughter in this home.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, sons Kevin (Patricia) of Banks, Or, Stephen (Elizabeth) of Wasilla AK, and Timothy of Billings and daughter Leanne Deschamps (David) of Florence, MT, along with two granddaughters, Kelsey Deschamps (Florence, Mt) and Erin Harmon (Banks, OR), and two grandsons, Jacob Deschamps (Florence, MT) and Matthew Harmon (Banks, OR). He is also survived by his three brothers, John (Janet) of Wagner, SD, David (Gloria) and Tom (Lucy) both of Billings along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at St Bernard’s Church, 226 Wicks Lane, Billings. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Family Service Inc , 1824 1st Avenue North, Billings Mt 59101 for their new facility fund, or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001, or a charity of your choice.
