A reunion occurred of the sweetest and gentlest kind on April 24th, as John Martin Schreuder Jr, 90, of Billings, MT, was released from his mortal life and was joined with his loving wife Shirley in heaven.

John was born on March 19, 1929 in Worden, MT to John and Mary Schreuder and grew up on the family farm with 8 brothers and sisters. John was educated at Huntley Project and soon after moved to Billings. John proudly served his country in the US Army from 1953-1955. John was a revered employee of the City of Billings for 29 years working as Superintendent City Motor Pool and retired in 1981. John was married to the love of his life Shirley in 1975 and together they spent a long and happy life in Billings parenting three daughters.
John was an avid fisherman and enjoyed taking his granddaughters pheasant hunting, spending time outdoors, camping and traveling with Shirley.
John was predeceased in death by his wife Shirley, his parents John and Mary, and his eight brothers and sisters.
John is survived by his three step-daughters Linda Swank (Bobby), Rita Mckenna, and Anita Mckenna Downs, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and John will be placed to rest with Shirley in Belle Fourche, SD at a later date. The family would like to thank everyone at The Springs Assisted Living Home in Billings and the many others for their compassion and care.
