Sallie was born on July 18, 1926 in Jackson, Mississippi. She was 92 years old. At the age of 15 Sallie moved to Chicago, IL where she met her one and only, the love of her life William L. Foster. They later married on June 1, 1950 and were blessed with two loving children. Their first child was their baby boy Larry “Fatman” Foster and then baby girl Alberia “Nanny” Foster.
In 1966 Sallie and her family moved to Billings, Montana where she laid her roots and raised her family.
Sallie had many jobs throughout her life but nothing compared to her being a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. Sallie’s heart was huge and she would open her heart to complete strangers to feed them. Sallie loved making food boxes and give them to whomever was in need. Sallie loved to have over company anyone who would come visit. They knew she would always have food, coffee, and sweets. They would stay and visit for hours and catch up on the stories (soap operas). She loved her wrestling; her all-time favorite being John Cena.
Sallie loved Jesus and devoted her Sundays to the Gospel Baptist Church. Sallie had many close friends and family: Clara Bentson, Juanita (Bernard) Beaty, Pat (James) Griffin, Rodney Simon, Blanche Jackson, Pinkie Scott, Azlene, plus special friends Pauline Booth, Oscar Miller, and Pauline Reese just to name a few.
Sallie leaves behind her loving family and her children Larry (Verna) Foster and Alberia Foster, her grandchildren Larry Foster III, Tanya (Troy) Long, Nolan, Laquisha (David), her great grandchildren Marisa (Anthony), Mashayla (Matt), Kambraya, Lawrence IV, LaTasha, Victoria, Kara, Danielle, Amira, Zoey, and Daelyn. She leaves behind great-great grandchildren Ruiz, Mackenzie, Maverick, Karisma, and Keltyn.
Sallie is preceded in death by her loving husband William L. Foster, Jimmie Lynn Foster, granddaughter Cleo Foster and grandson Alex Foster, great granddaughter Precious Heaven Nava-Foster, and her loving dog Killer.
A special thank you to Riverstone Health, Christopher Emter, Bobby Beaver, and everyone whom gave a helping hand, sent their love and prayers during this time.
