Obituary

Pamela Kay Jackson, 71, of Billings, passed away Thursday March 14, 2019 at Billings Clinic Hospital. She was born March 14, 1948, in Big Timber, the daughter of Oscar and Mable Ommundson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband Robert Jackson. Her family includes her son Timothy Jackson (Monica), brother Michael Ommundson, and her foster daughter Shauna Quilling.

Pam was a very patient and kindhearted woman. She cared greatly for every soul on earth – her friends, family, clients and pets. It was important to her that everyone around her was happy and loved.

She spent her life making sure those less fortunate would have a better life. Pam was a therapist at the mental health center for over 20 years and stayed active with the VA. She dontated her love and time to those who needed someone to talk to.

As a single parent Pam put herself through many years of college to become a therapist for those in need all while raising her only child Timothy Jackson. Pam had a very loving and caring heart and soul so much that she opened her home to help those in the foster care system by giving her all to take care of Shauna and to make sure she had the best life. The last few years Pam opened her home to her brother Michael and in doing so it brought them closer together.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Smith Downtown Chapel, 925 South 27th Street. Condolences for the family may be shared at smithfuneralchapels.com.

Pam and I began at the mental health as case managers and we became the first team leads in 1996. We both became therapists and I moved on to the VA and on to Ft. Peck. Our son and her foster daughter spent time together at Pam's home in Lockwood and they were good friends. Pam loved people and they loved her. Her warmth meant a lot to many people and we will miss her greatly.

My condolence to the family & friends of Pamela Jackson. No doubt she will be fondly remembered. As you cherish the many memories, reflect on the time when sickness & death will be conditions of the past! (Revelation 21:3,4; 1Corinthians 15: 26) This is a promise made by our loving God Jehovah & Jesus Christ guaranteed the hope of seeing our loved ones again by means of the resurrection. (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 26:19). May God’s word & the many fond memories of Pamela comfort you each day, as we await the fulfillment of His promises! (Joshua 23:14)
