Pat was born in Anaconda, MT to Burford and Myrtle Ezell. In 1945 she graduated from Anaconda Senior High and in 1949 graduated from Montana State College School of Nursing. Pat was also certified in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps.
At the age of 20, Pat made the most life changing decision of her life when she placed her faith in Jesus Christ. From that moment on her mission in life was to share Christ with her family, friends, and anyone who would listen to her. She loved to share the good news of the Gospel with anyone who would stop by the house. Supper could be burning up on the stove, but her love for people compelled her to take as much time as needed to talk with them about the Lord.
In 1950 Patricia married Bernard Nickel. God blessed them with six children: Dan (Melody), Tom (Judy), Lorna (Tim), Berna (Mich), Brad (Kim), and Greg (Melanie). Pat was grandma to 13 and great grandma to 6.
The family would like to thank the staff at Langemo Cottage on the St. Johns Lutheran Campus for their special loving care for mom for the 9 years she was there. We also thank the Senior Independence Hospice staff who helped mom so much in her final days. God’s blessings on all who were so kind to her.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 328 Shiloh Road, Billings, MT on Saturday, March 9, at 11:00 a.m.
