Peter Garcia Rodriguez, 92, died February 8, 2019, at Parkview Care Center in Billings.

Peter was the son of Maria Garcia Rodriguez Martinez and Jose Rodriguez, born in Knippa, Texas, on April 29, 1926.
Peter worked for many years and retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad.
Peter will be remembered for his performance of Tejano music at dances, events and restaurants throughout Montana and neighboring states. For many years, he entertained at the Dos Machos restaurants in Billings and regularly performed at Western Days events. When not performing, Peter loved to cook, dance and spend time with his children and grandchildren.
Peter is survived by his wife, Alice Zuniga Rodriguez; children Michael Rodriguez, Joseph (Becky) Rodriguez, Elizabeth (John) Patten, Paul (Lara) Rodriguez, Thomas (Angela) Rodriguez, Mary Atiburcio, Manuel (Barb) Zuniga, Danny Lira, and Priscilla Lira (Aaron) Tousley; sisters Aurora (Avelino) Burrola, Estella Soria and Juanita Rodriguez; brothers Robert (Martha) Martinez and Jesse Martinez; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Josefina, Margaret, and Demetria Rodriguez, Sefarina Valenzuela, Henry and Ray Martinez, and Lupe Gonzales.
Vigil and Rosary service will be held Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 3411 3rd Ave. South, Billings. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will follow at Mary Queen of Peace Church.
