He attended British Columbia Institution of Technology (BCIT) and studied Chemical Sciences, then worked as a chemical technician at Teck Cominco for 15 years. For the last 14 years, Jarrett worked at CHS Inc. as an Environmental and Safety Engineer.
Jarrett was a hardworking and devoted family man. He went above and beyond for his wife Linda and his two daughters Kelsey and Kaydee. Jarrett and Linda just celebrated 25 years of marriage and have spent every day together for nearly 30 years.
At 50 years old, Jarrett went back to school to earn his Bachelors of Science in Environmental Management. He loved being challenged and always looked for growth both personally and professionally. Jarrett just earned his degree and was looking forwards to taking more fishing trips now that he finished school.
Jarrett was one of the biggest Green Bay Packers fans. He taught his daughters the rules of football and their family dog to, “run like Jordy Nelson”, when playing fetch. Everyone he met, he would discuss football with and became excited whenever he met another Packers fan. He would constantly joke with his friends and coworkers in his office about football and his predictions of upcoming games.
Jarrett is survived by his loving wife, Linda Jean Oldham; along with two daughters; Kelsey and Kaydee Oldham; his brother Noel (Elenita) Oldham and family (Vancouver, British Columbia); sister-in-law Suzi (Carl) Sauvola and family; and brothers-in-law Ray, Carl (Jenny), and Scott (Jody) Smith and their families; and mother-in law Reney Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Oldham, and his brother Marty Oldham.
