Obituary for Echo Montana Carlson

Echo Montana Carlson was born in Billings, Montana in September 1978 to parents Marla and Mitch Carlson.

Echo was a quiet, compassionate girl with a sense of humor. But make no mistake, she didn’t allow anyone to put anything over on her. One of her proudest moments was when she caught that huge 7-inch trout when she was visiting her grammie on the ranch.

She was disabled most of her life after twelve years of age. After one of her many trips to ICU she said she was unaware her mom was there with her, but she saw her dad and grammie there and they both told her she couldn’t come to see them yet.

All of her family was always very important to her. She cherished her mom and had a special bond with her dad. Near the end, she was ready to be reunited with her dad and requested that her ashes be placed in his grave with him.

She’s with her Lord, her dad, and her grammie now, free from this world and its struggles. We can take comfort in this.

Echo was preceded in death by her dad Mitch, her grandparents Ernie and Helen Chriske, her grandma Hazel Carlson, and her aunt Karen Chriske.

She is survived by her mother Marla, sisters Sandy, Judy, and Josie, and her brother Charlie. She is survived by her aunts Theresa Fries, Sissy Cotter, Alta Bell, her uncle Guy Chriske, and numerous, dearly loved cousins. She is survived by a dear friend Michael Angel.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Word of Life Fellowship, 1737 King Avenue West. Interment of her cremated remains will follow at Mountview Cemetery in Billings. Condolences for the family may be shared at
