Margaret “Peggie” Lou Fowlkes was born October 20, 1936 in Billings Montana to the late Forest Fowlkes SR and Ruby Irene “Lee” Fowlkes.
She departed this life on January 20, 2019 at her residence with St John’s Lutheran Ministries Nursing Home at the age of 82.
She was a graduate of Billings Senior High School Billings MT, a Nursing Graduate, a certified Real Estate Agent, and a retired Crossing Guard for the Billings MT School System of 27 years.
In addition to her accomplishments, she was the first female coach for the Boys Little League Baseball Team in Billings MT, Cub Scout Leader, American Legion Member, affiliated with the EUB Baptist Church, she was an excellent seamstress, she loved her gardening, baking, sports, music, and television shows.

She was united in marriage to Stephen Arthur Miller and to this union their son Terrance R Miller was born. This union ended in a divorce.
After she graduated nursing school and went to work at the Billings Clinic, she met and was then united in marriage to Theodore Vern Welch August 31, 1957 and to this union, they had three daughters and one son. They made their home in Baker MT, Ekalaka MT, and Miles City MT, and then they divorced July 26, 1971.
She then moved back to Billings MT when she met the love of her life Mark Dalley and they were united in marriage on December 16, 1988.
She was preceded in death by her parents Forest Fowlkes SR, and Ruby Irene “Lee” Fowlkes, husband Mark Dalley of Billings MT, and by her son Terrance R Miller of Billings Montana.
She was also preceded in death by siblings: James Franklin Fowlkes, Thomas Lee Fowlkes, Arthur Eugene Fowlkes, Frederick Fowlkes, Forest Fowlkes Jr., Dorlis Marie Fowlkes, Zella Cerise Fowlkes, Della Bernice Fowlkes, and Ruby Darlene Fowlkes.
She leaves to cherish her memory one sister Barbara "Fowlkes" Martin, four children Kimberly Howard (Lathan) Billings MT, Cindy Sterns (Dick) Sheridan WY, Pam Welch Medicine Lake MT, Ted Welch (Cindy) Billings MT, nine grandchildren Stephen Miller Billings MT, Joshua Schleining Billings MT, Chad Schleining, NY State, Skye Hatten (Michael) Helena MT, Matthew Sterns Aurora CO, Kassie Specht (Tyler) O'Fallon MO, Katie Welch Kalispell MT, Lathan Howard III Billings MT, Crystal Zook Billings MT, twelve great grandchildren Shay, Trevor, Braiden, Cadence, Grady, Jacob, Joshua, Henry, Easton, Mason, Landon, and Ashton. nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

My condolences to the Dalley family and friends. May you have comfort from the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials...He knows the pain of losing a loved one and has promised to swallow up death forever. (Isaiah 25:8) Please read John 5:28,29 to learn of the priceless hope for those sleeping in death.
