Vernice V. Waller, 88, passed away the morning of January 14th, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Healthcare in Billings MT. She was comforted by her husband (Arnold Waller-Billings, Mt) and one of her sons (Art Waller-Gillette, Wy). Besides being a loving wife to Arnold Waller, Vernice will always be remembered as a caring mother of 4 sons, Raymond Gorsuch, Michael Gorsuch, Arthur Waller, James Waller, and a daughter Gene Loghry. Vernice was born in Rapid City, SD on March 30th, 1930 to Ella and Orman (Curt) Curtis. Vernice was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister and 2 grandchildren Vernice is survived by her brothers: Orlin Curtis, Dean Curtis, and her sisters: Phyla Weddle, Elvira Getty, Velda Vanantwerp, and Shurla Parsons. In addition to being a caring sibling, a wonderful wife, and a mom, Vernice will be missed by her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Vernice was a woman in action during her professional career. She excelled in real estate, working her way up from bookkeeping to Agent and finally to the position of Broker. Additionally, Vernice taught business classes at National College of Business in Rapid City, SD.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Smith Funeral Chapel 925 South 27th Street, Billings Mt. Vernice will be laid to rest at Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel MT. Condolences may be shared with family by visiting SmithFuneralchapels.com.
