Edward Albert Farrington was born in Forsyth, Montana, January 22, 1927 to Rose and Theodore Farrington. He graduated from Billings Senior HS in 1944, joined the Navy in 1945 and served in the South Pacific.

Edward married Mary Lydon on June 1, 1955 in Fort Benton. Dad retired from the Great Northern / BNSF in 1988. Edward attended Montana Tech and Eastern college .
He was a member of VFW Post 4047, American Legion Post 26, and Knights of Columbus, Fort Benton, MT.
Edward and Mary's passion for travel included visiting all seven continents. Their most memorable was being in Moscow, Russia, the day the Soviet Union fell.
Edward is survived by his wife Mary of 63 years; sister Margaret Murray; sisters-in-law Bridget Read and Kathleen Lydon; son Patrick (Leisa) Farrington; daughter Roxanne (Anthony) Tata; four grandsons Theodore (Angela) Farrington, Charles (Amy) Farrington, Patrick Tata and Mario Tata and two great grandchildren, Abigail and Edward Farrington.
Edward will be remembered most for his kindness, stories and willingness to help anyone with anything.

Sunday, December 16th at Smith West Chapel, 304 34th St W, viewing begins at 6 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm followed by a vigil service at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am, Monday, December 17th at St. Pius X Church, 18th and Broadwater. Interment at Calvary cemetery immediately following mass.
