Evaine C. Hamilton

Evaine, 60, passed away November 21, 2018 in Billings, Montana. He was born May 25, 1958 to Lucretia “Crete” and Jerry Hamilton in Denver, Colorado. He was the youngest of 4 children. He attended grade school in Denver, the family moved to Columbus, Montana and Evaine graduated from Columbus High School.
Evaine was married to Barb Heimer, from this marriage they had 3 children: Andrew, Karly and Danielle. Evaine and Barb owned a successful Americlean franchise in Phoenix, Arizona for many years. They later divorced. Evaine truly cherished his children and all of the good times they had together.
He was an IBEW member starting in 1994, became a journeyman lineman and worked with Rocky Mountain Contractors for many years. He won the electrical apprentice rodeo award in 1997. He loved line work and was very proud to be an IBEW member.
Evaine was married to Susie Madsen Hamilton. She preceded him in death in August of 2018.
Evaine was affectionately known as “uncle loud” to his many nieces and nephews, Ev, 2phoneE and just Vaine to many co-workers and friends. He had a great sense of humor and a very quick wit, many fast comebacks for any situation. He enjoyed hunting with his kids and buddies, fishing and camping of the Stillwater, and spending time at the “land”. He made friends wherever he happened to be. He loved a good time, when he was around you knew it due to his booming voice and laugh.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Lucretia “Crete” Hamilton; children, Andrew, Karly and Danielle of Mesa, Arizona; sister, Bev (David) Newman; brother, Mark (Patty) Hamilton, sister, Lynn (Jack) Tuell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice or in Evaine’s name to Mountain States JATC, 2047 North Last Chance Gulch, PMB383, Helena, Montana 59601. Funds will be used to set up a plaque or a possible Memorial Scholarship fund for outstanding apprentices in the Montana program; the Humane Society or local animal shelter.
