Obituary for Agnes Mae Kovach (Ennis)

Agnes Mae  Kovach (Ennis)
Agnes (Ennis) (Kinney) Kovach passed away on Nov. 25, 2018 at age 76, with her family at her side. Agnes was born on Nov. 28, 1941 to Roy and Velma Ennis on a farm in Boyd/Joliet, and lived most of her life in Laurel and Billings. She loved her family, friends, and enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting and playing pinochle.
Agnes is survived by her husband Arlen Kovach; her daughters Karen (Ron) Wood of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Kristy (Dan) Case of Helena. Agnes’s daughters are from her marriage to Stan Kinney; four grandchildren, Ryan and Stephanie Wood, and Madison and Nicholas Case; brothers Roy and Larry Ennis; and sisters Kathy Heniken and Edith McDermott.
From her marriage to Arlen, she attained five daughters: Sis (Roy) Morgan, Lila (Dan) McWeeny, Jody Chavez, Kelia (Mitch) Hart, Holly Cook; and one son, Lane Kovach.
Agnes enjoyed going to the Laurel Locomotive basketball games, and anything musical including Neil Diamond and the Herbstfest! She was an active member of the Laurel United Methodist Church most of her life. She worked at the Yellowstone County Courthouse in Motor Vehicle, Clerk of District Court, and the Treasures’ Office for 29 years. After retiring Agnes traveled with her husband Arlen on many fun adventures including RVing in Arizona.
Agnes is preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters Norma Krueger and Doris Beal. Visitation will be at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel on Fri. Nov. 30, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Laurel United Methodist Church on Saturday, Dec. 1st at 1 p.m. A celebration of Agnes’s life will follow in the church basement.
Special thanks to caregivers Holiday and Stillwater Hospice. Memorials may be sent to charities supporting Cancer research or the Laurel United Methodist Church.
