Obituary for Bonnie Buffington

Print
Bonnie Buffington of Billings Montana passed away on Wednesday, November 7th, 2018.

She was born to the late Roy and Pauline Kruse, April 15, 1950, in Carroll, Iowa. Bonnie graduated from the Professional Business Institute of Minneapolis, Minn. in 1969 as a laboratory technician.

She married Ray Buffington in 1971, and they lived together in the Sand Hills of Nebraska for nearly twenty years before relocating to Whitewater, Montana. Bonnie will be forever remembered by husband Ray, and their children, Jason (Denise) Buffington and daughter Shelby, Chad (Brenda) Buffington and daughter Aubrey, and Devin (Becca) Dimas, her brother Doug (Maralee) Kruse and sister Bette (Don) Peterson. She is preceded in death by Roy and Pauline (birth mother) and Lorraine Kruse. Bonnie will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

Bonnie was an accomplished quilter and home maker. She loved our Lord Jesus Christ, music, family, friends and passed her deep faith and appreciation of it to all her children. Bonnie was immensely proud of her family (especially grandchildren), and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Her lighthearted nature brought a smile to everyone’s face.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Chapel on South 27th Street. Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting smithfuneralchapels.com. The family insists that people make donations in support of colon cancer research through the American Cancer Society in lieu of sending flowers. www.cancer.org
