Obituary for Gaylord "Bud" Case

Bud was born in Des Moines IA on April 4th, 1927 to J Gaylord & Helen (Dillon) Case. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. During WWII Bud was with the Army securing the Panama Canal on a PT boat. After the war he married M Carolyn Bond and they had 5 children.
Bud was a general contractor. The family moved to Billings, MT in 1964 where he continued building many homes in the Billings area. His true passion in life was flying and always said that he would rather have his feet off the ground than on the ground. After closing his construction business, he took up flying for a living. He worked for Lynch Flying Service out of Billings until his retirement in 1992. He then took care of his ageing parents until their deaths. When he retired and stopped flying, he spent many years at his second passion in life, which was golfing.
Bud married Bonnie Kraus in 1982. He was a member of the First Baptist Church
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bonnie of 28 years and his granddaughter Portia Case.
Bud is survived by his children, Pam Case of Seattle, WA, Tom (Mary) Case of Laurel, MT, Bob Case of Philadelphia, PA, Pat Case (Joe) Threet of Huntley, MT and Becky (Jerry) DeVantier of Churchhill, MT. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Spencer Case (Billings), Jaron Case (Philadelphia, PA), Michelle Edmonson (Reno, NV), Brad Lindeman (Billings), Anthony Montagino (Belgrade, MT), Tyler Stewart (Bozeman, MT) and Hana and Ian DeVantier (Churchhill MT), and great-grandchild, Amelia Lindeman.
The family would like to give special recognition to Shannon Rausch for being there to help Bud and help take care of him in his last years and to Bud’s dog Sabre.
Memorials can be given to the First Baptist Church of Billings or to the American Association for the Blind.
