Obituary for Reynold Herman Schreiner

Reynold Herman Schreiner
Reynold Herman Schreiner, our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather passed away on Sunday July 29th at his home. He was born in Laurel on January 2, 1932 to parents Pete and Elizabeth Schreiner. He married AnnaBelle Gabel on July 26, 1952 and left us just two days after celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary.
Dad spent the first two years of their marriage in Germany with the U.S. Army. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to Laurel and immediately began working for the Northern Pacific railroad. He worked his way up from Carmen/Welder to Wrecker operator of the 250-ton BN wrecker and then onto his final position as bulldozer operator with the Burlington Northern Cat Pak. He retired in 1992 and spent his days having morning coffee with his railroad buddies, fishing, camping, four-wheeling and his favorite, spending time with the family at their cabin on the Stillwater. Dad was a lifetime member of the First Congregational Church and was getting ready for Sunday services when he past. He was also baptized and confirmed in this same church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Pauline, Helen and Mary as well as his brothers, Peter, Harold, Ruben and Herman. He was the last survivor of the Schreiner family. He leaves behind his wife AnnaBelle, children Diane (David) O’Rear of Laurel, R. Duane (Diane)Schreiner of Ft Smith, Georgia (Mark) Sorg of Billings, Doug (Virginia) Schreiner of Laurel, Alan (Tammy) Schreiner of Billings and Ken (Jodi) Schreiner of Laurel along with 17 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday evening, August 2nd at Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel. Services will be held at the First Congregational Church in Laurel at 10 am on Friday August 3rd. Memorials may be sent to First Congregational Church in Laurel.
Dad-This is not a good-bye but just a see you again at a later time. Keep the coffee hot!
