Life Story for Tana Creger

Tana Creger
Tana Rae Creger, age 47, passed peacefully with her family by her side in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 8th, 2018. She was born May 31, 1971, in Great Falls, Montana, to Randy and Diana Brown.

Tana lived in Missoula, Montana, as a child before moving to Billings at age 10. After graduating from Billings West High in 1989, Tana went to college at Montana State University in Bozeman. She was an active member of her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta. She graduated with honors with a Bachelors in Science degree followed by an internship in Great Falls. Tana then worked as a Medical Technologist for St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings. Throughout her years, Tana was a member of the Red Lodge Ski patrol and was an accomplished pianist. She loved to garden, dance with her dance group and spend time with her family, friends and beloved dog, Skipper.

Survivors include her mother and father, Randy and Diana Brown of Billings, her sister Marci (Adam) Reed of Portland, OR, and her 2 nieces Logan and McKenna Reed.

Visitation will be from 3:00pm-6:00pm, Wednesday, September 12, at Smith Funeral Chapel West, 304 34th Street West, Billings. The funeral service will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1810 Shiloh Road, Billings, at 1:00pm on Thursday, September 13th, followed by graveside and a reception.

The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses of Billings Clinic Hospital for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association. Condolences may be shared online at
