Wanda Kostenko (Roeder)
Wanda C. Kostenko was born to Sue (Hazen) Roeder on the Roundup to Billings road between the two bridges on April 17, 1949. She was delivered by her father, Richard Roeder.
Wanda lived her entire life in Billings and met her husband, Clarence Kostenko, there. They were married in August of 1972 and had two sons, Brian C. and Bradley Kostenko. In Wanda’s life she liked concerts, parades, and special events, but her main loves were family and traveling with her puppy, Scooter.
Wanda passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 16, 2018 after a long fight with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Sue Roeder, and all her uncles, aunts and grandparents. Survivors include her husband Clarence, sons Brian and wife Chelsie of Seattle, and Brad of Billings; her sister, Bonnie Soto of Billings; nieces Melissa Roeder of Spokane and Wanda Oster of Billings; grandchildren Corbin and Rosyellen Kostenko of Seattle and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitations may be made Wednesday at Smith Downtown Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 22 at Smith Downtown Chapel with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Lunch will follow at the Golden Corral Restaurant. Condolences may be left at smithfuneralchapels.com.
