Kathy Conover Sexton
Kathy Conover Sexton, 71 years old, of Billings, died Dec. 31, 2017, in her home, surrounded by family, after a long struggle with COPD.
She was born June 11, 1946, to Maurice and Ellie Conover. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Broadview High School in 1964.
She married the love of her life, John Sexton, on Nov. 29, 2003.
She spent most of her career, 21 years, at Walmart, in retail management and working at the home office in Bentonville, Arkansas.
She loved the outdoors. In her younger years, she was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed camping and boating. She always had a love of cooking and entertaining others, as well as sewing and playing piano.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Eleanor Conover, and her grandson Cody Kerby.
She is survived by her husband, John Sexton; daughter Jodi (Kevin) Gilligan, of Billings; son James (Michelle) Kerby, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; son Kelley (Tammy) Sexton, of Franklin, Texas; daughter Cheryl Russell, of Houston; as well as her brothers, Bret (Denise) Conover, of Broadview, Rod (Linda) Conover, of Vancouver, Washington; and Mark Conover. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, two aunts and many cousins and beloved friends.
Vigil will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, at Smith's Funeral Chapel downtown, 925 S. 27th St. Funeral Mass will be at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at St. Patrick Co-Cathedral, 215 N. 31st St.
